Team Pairs playing format
Players names are drawn out randomly - a team cannot select which players they want to pair up. The order of play is chosen by the home captain. This format continues up to and including the semi finals.
Both teams will total up the h'caps of all their players who will play on the night
Calculate how much difference there is between the two teams sets of h'caps
HALVE this difference - this will be the total start over the 3 frames aggregate scores. Where the halved difference is not a whole number, it shall be rounded up to the next whole number.
e.g. if the total difference is 5 points; the halved difference of this is 2.5 points; therefore the h'cap start of 2.5 in this case will be rounded up to 3 points. A halved difference of 7.5 points shall be rounded up to 8 points.
The team with the highest h'cap total will receive this overall start
